Privacy, in plain English
What Brocheta Bistro collects when you use our guest Wi-Fi, our website, or message us, what we do with it, and how to get it removed.

Guest Wi-Fi
- Your email address (required to get online).
- Optionally: your first name, birthday, and what you ordered, only if you tell us.
- A log of your visits over time, linked to your email: when you signed in and any items you picked.
- A one-way salted hash of your device's network ID, so we can recognize return visits. We never store the raw identifier, and we forget a device after about two months without a visit. Your IP address is used only to connect you; it isn't saved.
- Your email is added to our customer contact list either way. We only send you marketing email if you ticked the box to receive it.
Joining our email list on the website
The “Join our email list” line at the bottom of our website takes only your email address, and joining is how you opt in. It doesn't log a visit, and your IP address is used only to stop spam, never saved as-is.
Sharing a photo in the Guest Gallery
- We receive the photo, your email, and anything else you add: first name, occasion, caption.
- We remove location and camera data from the photo before storing it. Every photo is reviewed by a person before it appears, and only approved photos are public.
- Your email stays with the photo so we can reach you about it. It is not added to our email list unless you tick the box asking for news and offers.
Messaging us through Google
You can send us a message from our Google Business Profile on Google Search or Maps. The conversation happens in your phone's own messaging app. Here's how it works:
- Automated replies. Some replies may be written automatically by Google's AI assistant. It answers from information about us that Google has, such as our Business Profile (menu, hours, location, ordering and catering details), past questions and answers, reviews, and our website. When it can't answer, it passes the conversation, with its history, to our team, and a member of our team may step in at any time.
- What we receive. Your messages, the name and profile details Google shows us, your phone number or messaging address, and any contact information you choose to share, such as an email for a catering request.
- Google's part. Google runs the messaging service and the AI assistant, so your messages are shared with Google and handled under the Google Privacy Policy, which may include review of conversations to improve Google's services. We don't control how Google stores or uses that data.
- How we use it. Only to answer you, handle your order or catering request, and improve our service, and for nothing beyond what this page describes. We don't send you promotional messages through this chat, we don't sell or share your phone number, and messaging us does not add you to our email list.
- Stopping messages. Reply STOP, or just tell us, and we'll stop messaging you.
- Please don't send payment card numbers, passwords, or medical details in a message. If you have a serious food allergy, call us at (956) 540-2979 so we can talk it through.
How we use your information
To run the restaurant: connect you to Wi-Fi, recognize you when you come back, answer your questions, and fill orders. If you opt in, we email you our news, specials, and the occasional birthday treat. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own advertising.
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers that store or process information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:
- Vercel hosts this website.
- Supabase hosts our database.
- Cloudinary stores menu and gallery photos.
- Wix hosts our customer contact list and sends our email newsletters.
- Google provides our Business Profile and its messaging.
Online ordering and catering are handled by SkyTab, DoorDash, and FocusPOS. When you order through them, their own privacy policies apply to what you give them.
Your choices
- Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe. Use it anytime and we stop.
- You can ask us what we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email Mcallen@brochetabistro.com or call (956) 540-2979.
- We keep your details only as long as you're on our list or we need them to serve you, then delete them.
Children
Our website, Wi-Fi sign-in, and messaging are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. See also our Terms of Service.
